Our CEO - Stephen K. Jones, Jr.

Stephen K. Jones Jr. has been the Chief Executive officer of Clear Lake Regional Medical Center since 2008. He has responsibility for Clear Lake Regional Medical Center, Clear Lake Heart and Vascular Hospital, Mainland Medical Center, Bay Area Surgery Center, CLRMC Breast Diagnostic Center, CLRMC Wound Treatment Center, Calder Urgent Care and two free-standing emergency clinics.

Under his leadership, Clear Lake has implemented several new clinical programs including a pediatric surgical program, surgical robotics program, neuro-hospitalist program, opened a pediatric emergency room and created a Cardiology Center of Excellence.

During his tenure at Clear Lake Regional Medical Center, Mr. Jones led emergency preparedness activities during and after Hurricane Ike in September of 2008.

Most recently, Clear Lake has announced approximately $110 million dollars in capital renovations and expansion. They recently completed a $17 million dollar expansion of their Heart and Vascular Hospital in which they added 72 beds. In August 2011, they will begin construction on a new $92 million dollar patient tower.

Prior to joining CLRMC, Mr. Jones served as the CEO of Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen, Texas, for three years and as the CEO of Southwest Medical Center in Lafayette, Louisiana

Mr. Jones was the recipient of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE)/Louisiana Hospital Association Early Career Healthcare Executive Regents Award. He is a member of the Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership (BAHEP) executive committee and a graduate of University of Houston-Clear Lake. Mr. Jones has been with HCA for 17 years.

Mr. Jones resides in League City, Texas, with his wife Yvette and their three boys – Tyler, Joshua and Ethan.
