Breast cancer FAQ
Breast cancer will affect one in every eight American women in their lifetime. It is second only to lung cancer as the leading cause of cancer deaths among U.S. women and is the most common type of cancer in women with the exception of non-melanoma skin cancers. The American Cancer Society estimates that more than 182,400 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer each year, and early detection is key to successful treatment.
