Webster, Texas, January 1, 2016— Clear Lake Regional Medical Center and Dr. Alecia Davis Townsend, OB/GYN helped Chad and Ashley Smith welcome their daughter, Madelyn, into the world at 1:29 a.m. on January 1, 2016. Madelyn weighs eight pounds and five ounces and is 20.5 inches long. The Smiths are from the Clear Lake area and this is their fifth child. Baby Madelyn has two brothers and two sisters who were eager to meet her.
“We are very excited about being a family of seven now,” said Ashley Smith. “Being able to receive high-quality healthcare close to home made this an enjoyable experience.”
“We are honored that more Houstonians have chosen us—year after year—to help welcome their children into the world and be part of memories that will last a lifetime,” said Stephen K. Jones, Jr., Chief Executive Officer at Clear Lake Regional Medical Center. “This is our 42nd year ringing in a new year with a newborn Houstonian.”
Madelyn and her family received a gift card donated by Babies ‘R Us, a photography package from Mom 365 and the Clear Lake Regional Medical Center’s VIP package which includes a spa robe, baby blanket, gourmet meal for the new parents, meal cards for their guests, mini-fridge stocked with beverages, fruit and cheese try, chocolate truffles and a flesh flower arrangement.
